Dr. Lorraine Burio
Dr. Lorraine Burio was raised in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from the University Of Connecticut School Of Dentistry. Dr. Burio completed a rigorous general practice residency at the London Hospital in London, England. She has been in her practice in New Fairfield, CT since 1988 and is an active member of the community.
In her free time, you can find Dr. Burio on Candlewood Lake barefoot water skiing, figure skating, or hiking with her dogs. She has competed in multiple barefoot waterskiing competitions and won the Senior World Barefoot Championship in 1999. In 2022 she succeeded in passing her Senior Moves in ice skating. Dr. Burio has been married since 1990 and loves traveling and spending time with her husband and their dogs. She also donates her time to Healing the Children Northeast where she has participated in several dental missions in underprivileged countries.
Dr. Burio is an active member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Oral Systemic Health and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. She has completed advanced studies in sleep apnea, laser dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry.
